Bill Pursche Bill Pursche has over 25 years of experience as a senior advisor and consultant to a wide variety of individuals and companies. His specialty is in the areas of personal skill building and improving the operations of workplaces and businesses. He is especially adept at using everyday examples and analogies to get people and organizations to change the way they behave, and in providing practical advice to people needing to change some aspect of what they do. Prior to his work with First Call Advisors, he was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, Inc. where he led McKinsey’s worldwide Post Merger Management Group. While at McKinsey he also founded and led its Mergers and Acquisitions Group (M&A), and its Turnaround (Operational Profit Improvement) Group. He has been involved in over 300 M&A and PMI efforts in a variety of industries and geographies, including cross border deals, and has authored numerous articles on M&A and post merger management and merger integration. He is widely regarded as one of most knowledgeable experts in the world in synergies and Post Merger Integration. He has extensive experience advising senior executives in many countries on strategy development and implementation, turnarounds, merger strategy, deal structuring, and all phases of the post merger process, and he has worked closely with outside advisors such as investment bankers as part of the M&A process. He has also successfully led dozens of turnarounds and business improvement initiatives and has helped many small businesses become successful. In addition to his work at McKinsey, he was a co-founder and Managing Director of Blue Capital Management, LLC, a private equity firm. Bill has also founded/co-founded 6 startup companies in the process control, computer, software and photography industries. Bill received his Master of Business Administration at The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College in 1981 and his B.A. (cum laude) at Williams College in 1979. He does pro bono work for numerous humane organizations and is donating all the profits from his last book to animal rescue. His book Synergies: The Art and Science of Making 2+2=5 will be published in 2009. H.G.Mark Sijthoff Mr Sijthoff has over 30 years in line and staff functions in marketing, planning, and general management. Mr. Sijthoff was formerly the President of Hoechst Celanese's specialty products and specialty chemicals divisions, a multi-billion dollar business. He was also president of Hoechst's largest specialty chemicals business, based in Frankfurt, Germany, which included 40 plants in 35 countries. Mark has a Masters Degree (MBA) from Columbia University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University. |
Mark W. DiLuglio Mr. DiLuglio is a successful entrepreneur, and has over 20 years experience in line management. His special expertise is in the practical application of technology to solve real world business problems. His clients have included Caterpillar, Schlumberger, GE, Independent Quality Labs, and the Robotics Research Lab at U.R.I. In addition to his work with First Call Advisors, he serves as President of Process Technologies, Inc. a process design, technology development, and software firm. Mark holds a B.S. degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). |
